5 Tips to Learn Any New Software Quickly

Need to learn any new software quickly? Think for a moment, Your computer has broken or stopped responding; and you had to complete your works with your friend’s computer or with office computer.

But what happens when software on those computers are not similar with that of your computer? Then you have to spent a lot of time to learn any new software before start your work.

It may take few hours to couple of weeks. However these simple tips will help you shorten the leaning curve and learn any new software quickly.

01. Similarity of Interface

A set of software which do the same task in the computer comes with a same interface. Therefore you do not need to waste your time to familiar with the interface of new software.

02. Command Organization

Similar types of software organized even its commands in a similar and logical way.

For instance, if you need to save your work, to get a printout, to open a different file, create a new file, you SHOULD go to the File menu.

Another example, you SHOULD open the Edit menu to execute undo, redo, cut, copy and paste commands.

03. Same Keyboard Shortcuts

Some keyboard shortcuts are universal keyboard shortcuts, which means those can use almost any software easily.

05. Search for Google

If you need to get help or need to ask something on using a software, don’t hesitate to give a search on Google. There are thousands of blogs and forums are ready to help you.

For instance, you can do a simple search like ‘how to mail merge in ms word‘ or ‘how to insert a chart in excel’ or ‘how to get fade effect in photoshop’ or whatever you need to know.

The results are appear within a few seconds.
