Everyone knows how to restart a computer. But in this article I will tell you about a faster way to restart your windows PC. That’s, creating a restart shortcut and restarting your PC using that desktop shortcut.
Let’s see how to create restart shortcut in Windows 7 and restart your computer using that shortcut.
How to Create Restart Shortcut in Windows 7?
Step 01: Right click on the desktop and select ‘New > Shortcut’ menu path.
Step 02: Type the following command in the text box and click ‘Next‘ button.
SHUTDOWN -r -t 01
Step 03: Now you can give a name to the shortcut (i.e. Restart PC). The name you typed here will display just below the icon. When finished, click ‘Finish‘ button.
Step 04: Double click on the restart shortcut you have created; Your computer will restart instantly!

Note: I am presenting this model using my Windows 7 computer. This restart shortcut work fine with Windows 7 and earlier versions of Windows. However, I can not say exactly whether I’m working with Windows 8, 8.1 and 10. But, you can try it without any problem.
